Bio

Carl Emil Carlsen (1982) is an artist and designer exploring computation as a means of creating audiovisual interactive experiences.

His works investigate sensory mixed-reality illusions, simulated natural phenomena, and visual music, often combined. Reoccurring themes include speculative futures, techno utopias, and digital nature. Installations and performances have been featured at Ars Electronica (Linz), CPH:DOX (Copenhagen), Transmediale (Berlin), Nikolaj Kunsthal (Copenhagen), and Click Festival (Helsingør) among other places.
